Erin Markey
Erin Markey -- the Larry Flynt of avant-cabaret --
is a Brooklyn-based performing artist, writer and musician who knows her way around a brass pole.
Bred in Michigan and buttered in the Deep South, she has just returned from the controversial 2008
Sex Worker's Art Show Tour, where she performed excerpts from her newest solo musical, Puppy Love: A Stripper's Tail.
New Films by Jenni Olson
Jenni Olson is a film exhibition curator, website founder, director, award winning documentary filmmaker, author, historian and producer. Olson co-founded and still writes for PlanetOut.com. In 2005, Olson released her debut feature, the multiple-award-winning documentary The Joy Of Life.
Dionne Wilkins
Dionne Wilkins was born and raised in Baltimore and
found her "voice" in Charm City as a self-described
Soul Solider. Her vocal stylings have been compared to
Lauryn Hill, Res, and Meshell N'degeocello. She is
currently completing her first record, which is slated
for release in 2008.
Nicole Reynolds
Nicole Reynolds
is a singer-songwriter who sings with
the delicate sweetness of a child, though her lyrics
recall the stylings of Sondre Lerche--heartache
wrapped in cleverness and wry whimsey. The Pittsburgh
native recently released “This Arduous Alchemy,”
which she terms a “breakup and recovery album”. The
collection of songs poise her child-like voice against
a background reflecting her schooling in jazz guitar
and composition.
Wolfgang
Wolfgang -- born Wolfgang Florian Freitag-VonDreizhan-Gruber in Liechtenstein --
had early aspirations to be a skier, but a broken leg at 12 and a concussion at 14 dimmed his hopes. Frustrated, he poured his passions into music.
Forming a techno-pop band, he toured clubs and "acquired groupies" across the European continent.
Inevitably coming stateside, he landed a small role in a low-budget film and continued touring.
This slightly time-warped Euro-trashy is frequently spotted lurking with the legendary Charm City Boys.
